#12 Estee Stanley

Celebrity stylist to the stars Estee Stanley comes in at number 12 on the Hollywood Reporters top 25 stylist list. With over 15 years of styling experience under her belt, Estee Stanly is considered a veteran in the industry. This insanely talented stylist has had the amazing opportunity of working with some seriously fashion forward clients, including Jessica Biel, Brad Pitt, Penelope Cruz, Mandy Moore, Sophia Vergara, Jennifer Aniston and style icons Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. Not only does she have a distinguished eye for fashion, but she is also quite the interior designer. She's also put her styling skills to work on some of her client's homes. Her interior design work has been featured in Los Angeles Confidential, Domino, and Glamour Magazine.

Estee works as a team with the always fabulous stylist Christina Ehrlich. Together they started a high-end clothing line called, Miss Davenporte.” Word on the boulevard is that when the Simple Life star Nicole Richie left style goddess Rachel Zoe, she turned to Christina and Estee to handle her fashion demands.

When asked about her long working relationship with "The Row" designers, Mary Kate and Ashley, Estee dished to Stylist.com “I started working with them when they were 16 or 17, so they were really, really young. Now I work on and off with them, mostly Ashley. They'd probably kill me, but I want to say they were dressed as twins when they showed up at the first shoot. Maybe not twins, but very similar. I definitely think their style has emerged.” I’m completely obsessed with the Olsen twins style so it's super exciting to discover the genius behind their wardrobe.

The style veteran's favorite designers to pull from are Giambattista Valli and Oscar de la Renta, two must-haves for clients Lea Michele and Jessica Biel. Estee likes to create memorable and unexpected moments on the red carpet, which is why she tends to dress the Glee starlet in statement dresses that one would normally expect to be see on an older client. It's these brilliant touches and meticulous attention to detail, that has landed Estee’s clients on the best dressed list for years.

When asked to share an everyday styling tip, Estee revealed to Stylist.com, “It's about versatile pieces and key pieces. Don't buy crazy, trendy things you're only going to wear once. Buy things you will consistently wear, invest in better pieces, and throw things in your bag like heels that can take it to evening.” When it comes to dressing Hollywood, Estee is at the top of her game. Lea Michele's most recent fashion moments have been faint worthy and it's nice to see the spotlight drift to the genius that helped create the look, especially when she's as fabulous as Estee Stanley. Below are some of her credits and client work. Which is your favorite?

Something Extra: Estee Stanley tied the knot last year at the Cicada Restaurant inside the Oviatt Building here in LA. And half of Hollywood was at the wedding, including Tobey Maguire, Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, and even Goldie Hawn. Clients Mary Kate and Ashley were even her bridesmaids. Below are pictures of the bride to be and bridesmaids running through the streets with mask on to hide from the paparazzi. Can you spot the Olsen’s?

#13 L'Wren Scott

The amazing stylist and designer L’Wren Scott comes in at number 13 on the top 25 stylsit to the stars list put out by the Hollywood Reporter. I’m not quite sure what exactly L’Wren Scott is most known for. It could solely be the fact that she is an incredibly talented stylist/costume designer or because she's the girlfriend to legendary rocker, Mick Jagger. Then again, her fame could simply be attributed to the fact that she comes in at a whooping 6ft 3in. Never the less, the super tall and ultra fabulous L’Wren is someone you should be following. The style expert was born in Utah and adopted at birth by an extremely religious Mormon family. Growing up, L’Wren tried her hand at modeling, but was deemed too tall to be a runway model. She did however do a long list of leg modeling before moving to Los Angeles in the 90's to follow her love for fashion. L'Wren has worked with some of Hollywood's most fashionable ladies. Her client list includes Sarah Jessica Parker, Amy Adams, Penelope Cruz, Kyra Sedgwick, and Oscar winner Nicole Kidman. The stylist also worked as the fashion consultant on George Clooney's "Ocean’s Thirteen" where she had the opportunity to dress some of Hollywoods most dapper gents.

When asked about boyfriend Mick Jagger, L’Wren shared, “Mick loves what I wear, and always has something to say about it! Look at the way he dresses! I don't think there's a more fashion-conscious man in the world.” L’wren also designs and styles a lot of Micks looks and amazingly over the top blazers. With her boyfriends support, the design maven launched her first collection in 2006 called “little black dress.” The successful line was composed entirely of black pieces. L'Wren followed up the collection with “under my skin” which was made up of skin tones and neutral colored pieces. These creative concepts caught the attention of fashion lovers around the world and soon some of the biggest celebrities in Hollywood were obsessing over her designs.

When it comes to designing and styling, L'Wren's main focus is silhouette. She loves to show off the curves of a body and you can see that in each client she has styled and in all of her designs.

WWD called L’Wren’s designs “Fearlessly Chic.” And I couldn't agree more. L'Wren's collections are beyond creative and her styling work is unmatched. Below are some of my favorite editorial credits, features and client credits for L’Wren Scott. Are you loving her style?

Carpet Fash - Kid's Choice Awards

Saturday evening the orange carpet rolled out at the Galen Center in Los Angeles for the 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards. Disney starlet, Selena Gomez looked absolutely stunning in Christina Cota. The look was perfect for the event and the teal shoe was a sophisticated and fun addition to this effortless look. I'm also dying over Pixie Lott’s retro Miu Miu dress and the lace detail on Nicky Hilton's Proenza Schouler is incredible. But hands down, my fash fave of the night has to go to Kourtney Kardashian, who killed it in a pink halter top maxi dress.

With all good fash fave's comes the dreaded fash fail's and this evening Gossip Girl's Taylor Momson definitely fell into the latter category. I understand that this is her “image” but would it hurt her to throw on a dress every now and then, even if it is in black. Taylor's gothic ensemble may have been totally inappropriate for the event, but my least favorite look of the night has to be Nickelodeon star, Miranda Cosgrove. Her bright pink satin Mui Mui dress and shoes were all kinds of wrong. I don’t like the fit or fabric of the dress and I wouldn't have paired a black shoe with her pink ensemble. Your eye is instantly drawn to the heels and in this case, it just doesn't work. I would love to have seen her in a flowing floral print dress paired with a nude shoe.

All in all I think everyone looked beautiful at the event. And congrats to all of the winners of the night. Which look was your favorite?

Shopping Venice Blvd.

Every few weeks I try to stop by the always eclectic, Venice Beach. The crowd is forever entertaining and the sunglasses are always in abundance. My goal for this trip was to find some colorful handmade jewelry for my Spring getaway next week. This Friday, my amazing boyfriend and I will be taking a red eye to the incredibly beautiful island of Jamaica and Venice accessories were a must. My favorite purchases came from Beth's handmade jewelry, which were rings made out of aluminum wrapped buttons. I stocked up on a few pairs of sunnies and an amazing bohemian maxi dress, which I can't wait to share with you. Below are some photo's from my shopping trip to Venice. Enjoy!
