Fash Trends - Fabulous Buns

Whether you're strutting through New York's Fashion District or attending a fancy holiday event, there's no denying that the ballerina bun has become 2011's most versatile hairstyle. For those of you first timers to the bun world, don't let this classic updo intimidate you. The stylish alternative to a ponytail is actually incredibly easy to achieve. And the best part... there's no right or wrong way to wear it. You can take the messy route or opt for a more sleek alternative, either way the secret is to calmly manipulate your hair and use bobby pins to tame the strays. Not only does it give you a clean, powerful and polished look but it only takes a minute to create. Below are some of my favorite celebrities rocking beautiful buns as their stylish ensembles best accessory. Get inspired by their fashion forward updo's and incorporate them as a stunning staple into your fall wardrobe. I promise after a few tries, it'll seem as easy as a ponytail. Which celebrity do you think is rocking the best bun?

Something Extra: Confused on how to create the ballerina bun look? Check out this tutorial video by Lauren Conrad which shows you step by step how to easily get her city chic bun look!

Halloween Costume Face-Off

With the hills of Hollywood overflowing with actors and reality stars searching for their next TMZ moment, it's easy to understand why Halloween is such an incredibly important night. For me, seeing my favorite style mavens rocking funny, cooky and even creepy costumes all down the boulevard is always a treat. One A-lister who never disappoints is Project Runway Host, Heidi Klum. The amount of dedication the stunning model puts into transforming herself, as you can see above, is truly outstanding. Girl must have A LOT of down time between seasons. Costumes like those definitely don't come in a bag at Party City. To get in the holiday spirit and hopefully inspire some of you last minute costumers, I thought we'd have a little costume face-off with some of my favorite stars from past years. I'm dying to know which celebrity costumes are your favorites. Oh and be sure to check back tomorrow to see my costume from last year and photos from my first Halloween in Hollywood. Xo.

Happy Hour

Who needs a calorie crammed cocktail when you can have a faint worthy, head turning, cocktail ring? It's truly incredible how much drama a seriously fabulous ring can add to a look, which is why, above every other accessory, a statement ring is always my go-to jewelry item. The power a truly gorgeous ring holds is seriously remarkable. Whether you're reaching across the restaurant table on a first date or serving dinner for a house full of guests, there's always an opportunity to catch someone's eye and remind them, "Hey, I have style." I urge you all to dress up your brown and neutral ensembles this fall with bold gold cocktail rings. Above I accessorized my new fur vest with my favorite oversized Forever 21 cocktail ring. This ring holds a special place in my heart. It was one of the first oversized rings I bought while studying fashion in college. It's amazing how a piece of jewelry can take you back to a certain place and time. Below are some of my favorite jewelry designers and their fabulous gold cocktail rings. Nicole Richie - Clean Living

Not only is Nicole Richie a successful designer, a super stylish and amazing mom but she's also living "green." I was very interested to hear that Nicole is living an organic, sugar, dairy and chemical free lifestyle. Check out this video below of Nicole on The Talk to see how my ultra favorite style maven maintains this impressive lifestyle.

House of Harlow 1960 Handbags

I'm seriously having a mini "I miss The Simple Life" moment right now. With "The World According To Paris" playing in the background and Nicole's latest designs all over my computer screen, I can't help but remember the hilarious chaos these two ladies use to get into. Anyone remember Nicole screaming for the cows to move in season one? She is seriously the funniest person ever! For now, I guess I'll just have to continue supporting their solo ventures. Fall 2011 is going to be a major season in the handbag world because style icon and design maven, Nicole Richie is unleashing some seriously stunning bags. “Handbags have always been a part of the equation since we first launched the House of Harlow 1960 brand," Nicole recently shared with WWD. After the massive success of her sunglasses and shoe designs this past season, Nicole has added 14 different handbags/clutches to the House of Harlow brand. “We just needed to make sure all of the components were aligned before setting foot into that category. The collection is quite small in terms of the styles we are launching with. I wanted to make sure that each piece is special and then be able to grow it slowly and organically season after season,” Nicole shared. The faint worthy clutches start at $150 dollars, while some of the larger hobos will retail for around $625. Start saving your money ladies these lust worthy designs will be hitting stores in late July. I'm dying over the black leather pony bag as well as the black studded clutch. Which bag is your favorite?
