Dolce & Gabbana Fall Winter collection 2011-2012 – Dolce & Gabbana Fall Winter fashion trends for Women 2011: What I could never have expected from myself is that I would call Dolce & Gabbana collection uninteresting. But it turns out everything happens for the first time.
And I do say that I consider their Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection derivative and unoriginal. The fashion duo that has always kept the customer excited about their clothing failed to create something that could attract and surprise. The same sheath dresses decorated with lace, animal prints that we are already fed up with (no matter what it precisely is: zebra, python or leopard), and combination of feminine and masculine fashion which a host of designer have been using for awhile – all these aren’t new.
If we put this aside the collection was beautiful. Dresses looked sexy and stylish, some were truly elegant. The star and notes pattern was pretty, too. However, if we talk about prints I can’t but admit Dolce & Gabbana overloaded their Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection with those. The stars and treble clefs were everywhere, from garments to bags, shoes and even necklaces. And when the two went together it was a complete disaster. Wt all remember the fashion rule: don’t overload your look. Dolce & Gabbana did just that. And while rules are set to be broken this rule seems to be quite reasonable.
As for the mannish Dolce & Gabbana’s designs for Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012, they weren’t impressive either. First of all most of the items appeared to be baggy and shapeless, especially in the waist and hip areas. Cropped knee-length pants looked unflattering on even the most gorgeous-looking girls. And stars attached to tuxedo collars were ridiculous.
Nearly forgot to mention, the oxfords which are incredibly popular now looked great in Dolce & Gabbana Fall/ Winter 2011/ 2012 collection. They can be statements on their own. It was a clever idea to color them bright.
