The highly anticipated spring collection from Rachel Zoe debuted yesterday during New York Fashion Week to a multitude of mixed reviews. The super stylist and my personal style icon has come a long way from styling tabloid starlets. When asked about her most recent high-end ready-to-wear collection, Rachel revealed she was influenced by Bridget Bardot in the South of France, describing the line as "easy glamour." I adore the white maxi skirt and electric blue belted jumper. Rachel's addition of color mixed between the sea of white was a nice and fresh touch to the mostly neural collection. As much as I wish I was "bananas" for Rachel's most recent looks, I'm actually slightly underwhelmed, especially compared to her show-stopping Resort 2012 collection. Though the collection has its moment and continues to solidify Rachel's design endeavors, I was hoping for some seriously trend setting pieces. We knew RZ would bring us fabulously tailored jackets, one shouldered garments, elegant gowns and maxi dresses but where are the edgy innovative pieces? That being said, the flared trouser is impossible not to love. Above is a picture Rachel tweeted just before the presentation of her Spring 2012 collection. I'm dying to know what you think of the style mavens latest designs. Overwhelmingly fabulous or underwhelmingly predictable?
