When it comes to red carpets, the Met Ball is number one in the fashion world. It's all about dramatic fashion and the bigger, louder, and more head turning the better. This year the gala was held in honor of the late Alexander McQueen and the opening of the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhition which will showcase some of the ultra talented designer's greatest creations.
While most fash followers were dying to see what Anna Wintour and SJP would step out in, I was dying to see what Nicole Richie was going to dazzle in. Not only did Nicole kill it at the event, but she also designed the dress for model Britt Maren. Nicole recently told People magazine that she took inspiration from McQueens collection when designing the gown for Britt. She shared, "it would be hard not to find elements of the dress I designed for Britt Maren in one McQueen dress or collection."
I loved Nicole's white 1930s vintage gown and of course Britt Maren looked stunning in her ultra shiny one of a kind Winter Kate gown designed by Nicole. I love SJP in McQueen, of course. Sarah never disappoints. I also loved Ashley Greene in Donna Karan, Blake Lively in Chanel Haute Couture and Taylor Swift in J. Mandel. All of the the ladies really brought the fash last night. Below are some of my favorites. Which look are you loving?
