Bride Expo

For the past week my fiance has been working long hours on the set of Chelsea Lately raving about how sweet and hilarious the cast and crew is. Having scored free tickets to a wedding expo in Pasadena for the weekend I thought I'd have to do some convincing to get him to tag along. Surprisingly he was totally game. Then again, if I got to meet James Marsden and Chelsea Handler all in one week you could probably convince me to jump aboard the Titanic. With my partner in crime on board, I decided this was the perfect opportunity to wear my new Splendid polka dot top and black Kensie skirt. Lately, I've been too busy to do any wedding planning so I figured this would be a great time for Justin and I to get a little inspiration outside of my three binders already crammed with ideas. The convention was overflowing with sugary stations, fashion shows, hair stylist, and all things wedding related. The majority of our time was spent with all of the travel agents handing out hundreds of magazines and packets filled with tropical and adventurous honeymoon ideas. With all of the little details running through our heads, the honeymoon has somehow slipped to the back burner... until now that is. After speaking with several agents I'm convinced I want to go to Egypt, but persuading my beach loving fiance may be difficult. Yes, the Nile River may not be Tahiti but what's wrong with thinking outside the box? Later in the day we stopped for lunch at an adorable little cafe called Camilles where I had a seriously delicious Veginini, which the menu described as a vegetarian panini. Afterwards I was able to squeeze in a little shopping before heading back to Hollywood. What were you guys up to this weekend?

Inside Kim Kardashian's Wedding

Talk about an insanely fun, paparazzi filled weekend getaway. In search of a little relaxation and a little work, my fiance and I made the breathtaking drive up to Montecito with a few extra LA locals behind us. Lets just say, my Four Season's photoshoot was seriously over shadowed by Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries epic $500,000 wedding. Every Hollywood camera crew, paparazzi and reoccurring cast member from Keeping Up With The Kardashian's was present and I was more than happy to observe. While Kim and her sisters hung out in the lobby in adorable white jumpsuits their ridiculously recognizable guest poured in. Lindsay Lohan hid from camera's in a white gown, while Brody Jenner and Avril Lavigne arrived together, just after Mario Lopez and Eva Longoria. The always sweet and friendly Ryan Seacrest was the last to arrive with DWTS alum, Julianne Hough in hand. The guest were shuttled from the Four Seasons to the stunning mansion just up the hill where only E!'s cameras were allowed. Word is Kim will rake in between 12 and 15 million for her upcoming two part E! wedding special which airs October 9th and 10th, as well as 1.5 million from People magazine. I guess getting married is good for the family business. And when you're paying that much for the first picture rights, it's easy to understand why we'll have to settle with these aerial shots for now. The tented areas look beyond amazing and the aisle runner was simply epic. Upon first glance you'd think the top picture was Kim donning her $20,000 Vera Wang gown but it's actually Kourtney in her show stopping bridesmaid dress. While pictures of Kim's wedding dress are being heavily guarded by the nation's top security forces, we were able to sneak a peek at the blushing bride's fashionable head jewels. During the evening, Kim rocked three different Vera Wang dresses and of course wore heels by the ultra talented, shoe design master, Giuseppe Zanotti. Super glad Kim chose her shoes from the best. Check out more pictures from the evening below and for more insider details and pictures be sure to visit Eonline! What do you think of Kim's bridesmaids dresses, too much or just enough?

Something Extra: Check out this E! News video showing all of the beyond gorgeous behind the scenes details! I seriously can't wait for the wedding special to air on E! in October!

Fabulous Friday - I'm Engaged

Last night, which I thought was going to be just another night of dining out, turned into being the most amazing night of my entire life. My extremely incredible and ultra creative boyfriend of almost 9 years whisked me away, blindfolded and in heels, to a Hollywood studio where he proceeded to ask the question I've been waiting years to hear. It all started when halfway to the restaurant he pulled out a blindfold and requested I cover my eyes. My heart instantly started racing. Was it finally going to happen? Was this the moment? Seconds into wearing the blindfold I started to get teary eyed. Justin later told me he saw the tears drop from the blindfold to my cheek and his nerves instantly went away. It was the moment we had both been waiting for.

So there I was, surrounded in a world of darkness, when I hear the car stop, which might as well have been my heart at that point. I had no idea where we were and a million emotions were running through my body, but I had faith something extraordinarily was about to happen. He led me into the studio, which I knew was large and empty because his voice and my heels were echoing, and told me to count backwards from 10 out loud before taking off my blindfold. The little detail of having me countdown backwards was so effective and exciting that I couldn't wait to get to 1. By 8 I couldn't stop shaking and by 4 the tears were falling. When I took off the blindfold I discovered I was in front of a giant video he had edited together. It was projected on the white wall of the sound stage and was twice as big as a theater screen. As the footage rolled, the memories of the past nine years played. Video footage of us at 16 proclaiming how we'd survive high school and college and be together forever. You see, we've filmed everything our whole lives. Every moment was on tape, all the way down to us moving across the country together.

I cried the entire time, but none more than when the last image faded away and the text started to fade in. It read as follows "I've waited 9 years... To ask you one question..." As the text faded to black, I anxiously waited for what was to come next, then, it simply read... "Turn around.” When I did, there he was... tears in his eyes. As a collage of dozens of black and white photos of us filled the wall, he got down on one knee and said the most beautiful and touching words I've ever heard. And of course... I SAID YES! We instantly called my family back in Alabama who Justin had told to wait by the phone for the big news. It couldn't have been more beautiful. There's dozens of more little personal details that make it all the more special, but we'll keep those to ourselves. Now it's time to pack for JAMAICA! We're flying out tomorrow to celebrate with my amazing family. Can't wait for all the wedding planning. Stay tuned. xo.

In honor of my engagement bliss, I wanted to share with you pictures from Nicole Richie’s incredibly beautiful Beverly Hills wedding! Enjoy!
