London designer Richard Nicoll has a cult fashion following with the likes of Kate Moss, Sienna Miller and Diane Kruger lapping up his every last seam and tailored detail. The collection will be available in selected stores and online from 28th March 2011. It’s going to get snapped up pretty quick, so you best be on your marks. Sportsgirl explains the collection below!

The 9-piece Richard Nicoll collection for Sportsgirl stays true to his core aesthetic of combining contrasting ideas, such as masculine fabrics with feminine tailoring. Taking a tomboy version of the preppy US East Coast schoolgirl as inspiration, Richard presents wearable separates in gorgeous silhouettes, delivered in traditional, masculine fabrics of fine checks, houndstooth plaid and a narrow stripe juxtaposed with feminine heart motifs and velvet bow details.
Richard had this to say of the collaboration; “I am delighted to be working with Sportsgirl on this capsule collection. From the beginning I sought to design a range that felt fresh, young and relevant for Sportsgirl, but was also something progressive, confident and fun. Adding the heart motif and some feminine silhouettes translate well to soften the masculine elements and at its core the range really reflects the spirit of both Sportsgirl and Richard Nicoll. I’m very pleased with the outcome.”
