When it comes to fashion invasions, the insanely popular color blocking trend is a beyond perfect example. This must-have style has literally taken over the fashion world ever since its massive revival during the Spring 2011 runway shows. Major fashion houses like Gucci and Prada have brought us stunning bright colored looks that almost every celebrity under the Hollywood sun has rocked this summer. The most popular form is complimentary color blocking. You may want to refer to a color wheel for this one. Usually you use three opposite colors that create a triangle on the color wheel. These colors are natural opposites so they'll compliment each other superbly. You can also try monochromatic color blocking, which you can achieve by simply pairing two colors that are different shades of the same hue like Emma Stone's dress pictured below. I recently used complimentary colors to pull together my super casual color blocking ensemble pictured above. I'm wearing a BCBG Max Azria silk top, paired with my cutoff J Brand shorts and a Marc Fisher handbag which lent for the perfect shopping ensemble through Beverly Hills. While my fiance, Justin snapped away, I looked over to discover my fashion icon watching from inside her Range Rover. Luckily my wonderful photographer/fiance turned just in time to snap a picture of style guru Rachel Zoe and Rodger Berman observing our shoot from a far. Guess I picked the right day to rock such bright eye catching colors. Check out the pictures below. My life is officially complete!
