FASH FAVE - Kim Kardashian

After spreading Kardashian kisses all over Dubai, Kim Kardashian and her brilliant micro-managing mom returned from their mini vaca in the Metropolitan city to a slew of bad press. With nasty divorce rumors spreading rapidly, Kim arrived at the Huffington Post Game Changer Awards with her head held high and her waist cinched in a stunning super fitted Roland Mouret mermaid gown. This insanely incredible dress was the perfect distraction. I hardly even noticed Kris was missing. Oh the power of a showstopping gown. I can only imagine how many pairs of spanks are on under this masterpiece. It's basically painted on the E! Princess's perfectly curvy figure. The bold gold accessories, nude lip stick and beyond gorgeous fishtail braid beautifully accentuate the power of this minimalist ensemble. I swear the Kardashian Klan's collection of statement earrings could make Elizabeth Taylor's treasure trove shiver in comparison. I'd die to sneak a peak. Kim's old Hollywood simplistic ensemble was a Fash Fave must... Then again, when does she ever not look amazing. I'm beyond obsessed. 

FASH FAIL - Christina Aguilera

Former Pop diva and current fashion world joke, Chrsitina Aguilera showed up to Fred Segal yesterday looking like a bonafide natural disaster... to put it politely. I only assumed when she wandered into Fred Segal it was to snatch up an emergency pair of pants after a nasty spill, but when she emerged with no attempt to cover up, I was officially baffled. Fred Segal is a high end clothing boutique that I'm pretty sure requires trousers. Then again, to be fair, I think the saying is "no shirt, no shoes, no service"... So I guess X-tina's in compliance? I do appreciate her appropriately placed skull scarf and conservative leather jacket, but the last time I checked the only person with a pants pass was Lady Gaga. Then again, according to the superb journalism that lines our grocery store aisles, Christina's apparently going through a breakdown and I do vaguely remember Britney going through a similar pant-less stage so maybe there's a reason for it all. Who knows, this could just be part of some 12 step program. Let's just hope this is the final step. Get it together Christina. Find yourself some bottoms and get your insanely talented voice back to the studio. And while you're there, please make another Christmas album. I religiously listen to the one that came out twelve years ago and I'd really love a new holiday jam. Thanks! :)

Fash Fail - Jade Williams

Where do I begin? As you know every Friday on Fash Boulevard I reveal my picks for Fash Fave and Fash Fail of the week and today the latter unfortunately goes to up and coming British singer Jade Williams. The talented Brit arrived at the Quintessentially Awards in London looking as though she decided to roll her tiny frame into the lobby carpet from the Bellagio hotel. Though I am not familiar with her line of work, I am now familiar with her lack of fashion sense. The British beauty for some unknown reason decided to pair a coral mid-calf maxi with a dip dyed green and blue top. Mixed patterns are a massive trend right now, but this is just an overstimulating disaster. On the bright side, after looking through some of Jade's past wardrobe selections, I discovered that this outfit was thankfully just a fluke fash fail for the British pop star who usually kills it in fabulously tailored items. I'm dying to know what you guys think of this print overload.

FASH FAVE - Rachel Bilson

How can you not love Rachel Bilson? The Hart Of Dixie leading lady is beyond adorable, super talented, and a major powerhouse in the style world. The CW starlet and former OC darling rocked some major fash this week while strutting through NYC for an appearance on Live with Regis and Kelly. I'm obsessed with this Suno white lace dress which Rachel paired with a to-die-for Vanessa Bruno blazer and some killer conservative sunnies. But by far my favorite part of this ensemble is her major ShoeMint Mary Jane pumps, which literally took my breath away at first glance. The ShoeMint website doesn't launch until November, so until then, I'll anxiously be waiting to swipe up these serious must-haves. Rachel and her stylist Nicole Chavez will be the celebrity designers for the site so you know it's going to be beyond fabulous. The shoes will retail for 79.99, so start saving now fash lovers because at that price you're going to want to buy every pair.

FASH FAIL - Katie Holmes

This week Katie Holmes stepped away from her adorable conservative mommy gear and ventured into denim territory, which is never, I repeat, NEVER a good idea, especially when it comes in the form of overalls. I mean just look at the poor girl's face. She's miserable. I can't decide if Tom forced her to wear this to keep guys away or if Katie wore this to keep Tom away. Either way, nothing about this is ok. As you know, I'm not a fan of overalls. You may remember my other fash fail which featured another style maven hitting all the wrong marks in denim overalls, here. How two fashion aware indivdauals made the same horrible mistake is beyond me. Is Katie the new official farmer for elite Scientologist? I'm confused. On the bright side, I am crushing on her super cute Isabel Marant booties, but other than that this is just a denim overload of epic proportion and with the oversized jacket it is just too much. What do you guys think? Fash Fail or Farmer chic?

Fash Fail - Roseanne Barr

Roseanne Barr stepped out this week for an appearance on the Wendy Williams show looking more like a confused bag lady rather than a comedian. Roseanne was donning a black and white striped dress which she oddly decided to pair with faded and extremely baggy pants that are anything but boring. Toss on the cardigan and colorful scarf and you've got the perfect ingredients for an epic fash fail. I give her points for comfort but to greet fans and paparazzi I would propose something a little less "Hoarders" inspired. I can only assume she has hundreds of cats running around her house preventing her from getting to the better pieces in her wardrobe. On the upside, Roseanne opted not to wear this head turner on the show, but unfortunately this was in fact the hairstyle she chose to grace Wendy's viewers with. I'm not exactly sure what to call this messy up-do but I'm pretty sure people won't be pinning it on their inspirational Pinterest boards anytime soon. Sorry Roseanne, I think your super funny but unfortunately this ensemble lands you as my fash fail for the week. What do you think of the comedian's seriously layered ensemble?

Fash Fail - Kelly Osbourne

Earlier this week Fashion Police co-host Kelly Osbourne arrived at Charlotte Ronson's runway show in a seriously underwhelming grey on grey number. The dress has potential, but unfortunately a few bad accessory choices pushed this getup over the fashion edge. Sure, Kelly's fashion has come a long way from her goth days, but with her most recent resume addition as a fashion critic, I really expect much more from the normally spot on fash maven. I commend her for wanting to show her support by wearing a Charlotte Ronson design, but there are far better options to slide into. The thick fabric paired with her strappy heels give the infectious TV personality a stuffy and frumpy appearance. And the mime gloves... Oh Kelly... I can only imagine what hilarious comments are running through Joan River's head over this ensemble. Can someone please inform her that they don't serve tea at NY fashion week. I'd love to see her ditch the extreme cat eye sunnies and let down her blonde locks. A few simple adjustments like switching her heels for a solid black double platform pump and ditching the handbag would seriously help. What do you think of Kelly's red carpet fashion?

Fash Fail - Demi Lovato

Disney delinquent Demi Lovato stepped out for a shopping spree this week looking a little less than Rodeo chic. The ultra talented singer rocked frayed denim shorts which she paired with a Hanna Beth designed shirt that reads, "The Only Coke I Do Is Diet," and an oversized cardigan. Each piece could be super cute on its own, but this combo isn't working. She also accessorized her look with heels that look oddly like socks glued to a platform. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of this mismatched "laundry day" look and her round "Howard Stern" sunglasses certainly aren't helping her case. But perhaps the worst part of it all is her "witch like" pointy finger nails. It was these metallic claws that sealed the fash fail deal for Demi. I'm just confused. Do they not allow online shopping in rehab? There's no excuse for this. Unfortunately none of the elements in this ensemble coordinate and I'm slightly disappointed. After seeing Demi kill it in a super tight black bandage dress a few weeks ago at Perez Hilton's party I thought the Disney diva was back on the fashion train. Hopefully this is just a little blip on her usually perfect style radar. I'm beyond obsessed with Demi's music. Skyscraper was the song of the summer for me, I just wish I could get behind her fashion too. I hope her new apparel purchases will be more fashion forward than these thrifty pieces. Fash Fail - Alexa Chung

This week my fash fail is MTV UK TV host, Alexa Chung. The usually fashionable model stepped out looking more like a thrifty farmer while at an airport in Sydney. As a former contributing editor for British Vogue I expect a little more from her when it comes to airport fash. The TV personality for some odd reason decided to wear a denim jumpsuit paired with a white button down that she accessorized with black wedges and a brown leather purse. No one should own anything that consist of this much denim. I don't care who made it or how much it was, it's simply too much. Someone must have informed her of this fashion mishap because while at the airport she attempted to help this denim nightmare by changing into a floral top and throwing her hair into a braided bun. I do appreciate the slight changes but I still can't get past this denim onesie. Please save the jumpsuits for the mechanics and criminals of the world. Next time Alexa, just rock skinny jeans, flats and your floral blouse! What do you think of her denim ensemble?

Fash Fail - Katy Perry

This week my fash fail is "Teenage Dream" singer, Katy Perry, who recently stopped by an LA gas station looking more like a teenage nightmare. I'm so baffled by this dress... if its even a dress. I say that because I'm not entirely convinced she didn't swipe a pillow case from her fortune tellers house and get crafty with it. Look, I get it. It's her day off and this was probably her only outing, but jeans and an old tee shirt would have been a million times better than this Woodstock groupie looking night gown with fringe. The entire get-up makes me think of ugly table cloths and hippie hand me downs, but at the same time kind of makes me want to watch "Now and Then," which I guess is a positive. I do however appreciate Katy adding colorful accessories in an attempt to accentuate this horrendous dress and her bold hair color. Hopefully the talented singer will be much more polished and glamorized by Sunday night for the VMA's where she'll be preforming a tribute to Britney Spears with a group of other A-list singers. Sorry Katy. I love your music and infectious personality, but this was a major fail. What do you think of Katy's gas station fash?

Fash Fail - Drew Barrymore

This week my fash fail is unfortunately the super sweet Drew Barrymore. The self proclaimed flower child recently stepped out at LAX with boyfriend Will Kopelman wearing a seriously horrendous outfit that I just couldn't ignore. Her red skinny jeans, graphic tee, and hat combo may work in the middle of a mosh pit at some rock concert with a group I've never heard of, but not here, Drew. Add the tennis shoes, old sweater and that army back pack and consider me officially confused. But the worst part, by far, has to be her safety pin earrings... safety pins? What is the point of this? To hold your boarding pass for easy access? I just don't get it. The whole ensemble kind of reminds me of the 80's movie "Big" except Drew's the 12 year old boy that woke up as an adult and forgot to change her outfit before running to LAX. I adore Drew. Her energy and personality is unmatched and I know how incredibly beautiful she can be, which is why I'm utterly baffled by this obvious fash fail. What do you think of Drew's airport attire?
